What are Bonds?

Ingersoll Skating Club is run by volunteers. The Board of Directors, Program Assistants, Event Organizers, Music Players and many others, are all people donating their time.  It goes without saying that if it wasn't for volunteers, the skating club would be next to impossible to run.  On the other side of the coin, our program expenses are high.  Our Coaches are all National Certified Program Coaches and are paid for their time.  In addition, our ice & facility rental costs and other expenses increase every year.  Registration fees alone do not cover our expenses.

Bonds are in place as an incentive for families to get involved and help us keep registration costs down.

How does the ISC bond work?

Each family registered in a full-season program will have a mandatory $175 fee added to their invoice.   There is only one bond payment required per family, regardless of how many skaters you have registered.

Bond payment must be arranged in one of the following ways before your skater(s) will be allowed on the ice:

If you choose to pay in full by credit card at the time of registration, bond will be pre-paid along with registration fees.

If you choose to pay in installments by credit card, the bond invoice will be post-dated for March 30, 2025.

If you choose to pay registration by EMT, cheque or cash, whether you are paying in full or by installments, bond must be provided by EMT, cash, OR a post-dated cheque (payable to Ingersoll Skating Club and dated for March 30,2025) before the first day of skating.

Once you have fulfilled your 50 bond points through volunteering or fundraising, your pre-payment will be refunded or the pending invoice removed from your account.

How can I earn bond points to get my bond refund?

Families are responsible for checking the bond book to sign up for volunteer opportunities.   Earn points by volunteering your time at special Club events like Photo Day, sorting deliveries for fundraisers, decorating our float for the Christmas Parade, or donating candy for our Halloween skate.  New opportunities will be added  throughout the season, so check back regularly!  Be sure to opt in to our monthly newsletter to be alerted to new opportunities on the way.

You can also earn 10 points for every $100 you sell in one of our Fundraising campaigns.
